BEACON CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT BUS GARAGE
Constructed in 1996 for approximately $3,000,000, the Beacon City School District Bus Maintenance Garage and Bus Storage Building are situated on a 4.68 acre parcel of land adjacent to the Dutchess County Intermodal bus facility and the Hudson Valley Renegades Stadium. The Bus Storage Building is a 17,600 square feet, manufactured metal building containing adequate parking area for approximately fifty District buses and vans. Exterior parking for 10 buses and a diesel/gasoline fuel pumping station are provided. The Bus Maintenance Garage is a 8,600 gross square feet, manufactured metal building containing four vehicle repair bays, averaging twenty feet in width by sixty feet in length; Driver’s Room with Lockers and accessible toilet rooms; Office space for Dispatcher and Head Mechanic; Metal Parts Storage mezzanine; below slab Vehicle Service Pit with appropriate access and egress; and a state of the art Bus Wash Station with water recycle system. The Bus Maintenance Garage is equipped with in-slab radiant heating, exhaust venting connections and reeled air tool and equipment system.
